A New Year invitation from the Presidential Inaugural Committee 1981 arrived by mail for a January 20 1981 inauguration event. The notice clarified the invitation was commemorative and did not grant admission to any inaugural events. The Clermont County notice mocks formal hospitality and invites local guests to a New Year’s Eve dance hosted by American Legion Post 237 with Frankie Whalen and the Cherryland Express.
Clermont County Unit of the American Cancer Society honored outstanding Mouse Crusaders at a board meeting for the Send-a-Mouse-to-College program. The drive raised about $17,000 this year with Melissa Tham of Willowville winning first prize and Elisea a second grader at Ville Elementary winning second prize. Valerie Frank of Bethel took second place with $177.45 and a color TV.
