Chairman Edward C. Saxton announces Clermont County 1940 corn allotment of 32 110 acres down from 36 392 in 1939 to curb carryover here. He notes a 561 million bushel carryover, nearly three times the 10 year average, and says higher yields plus a 10 cent conservation payment offset the drop. Allotment notices will be mailed soon, urging planting within limits to protect income and secure loans and payments.
