Highway Damaged By Fire Repaired Near Edenton
State Highway Department crews repaired pavement on Route 133 one mile north of Edenton after straw ignited and burned near 6 p.m. Friday. The fire, blamed on a discarded dep dir of a slide, required 75 loads of cinders to fix, said Russell Simmons, county maintenance superintendent.
