Fire damages Loveland supermarket after short in freezers

Harry Brown owner of Brown's Supermarket reports he checked the store before leaving for breakfast. Fire crews responded an hour after the alarm. Officials attributed the loss to an electrical short in food freezers, with the damage estimated at 50000 dollars. The store aims to reopen within a week upon health clearance.

Ken-L-tation Dog Show Set for Batavia Saturday

Batavia hosts a dog show at the Kroger store with Mayor R C Jamieson and Police Chief Ed Colonel as judges. The event runs Saturday August 17 from 10 am to 12 noon with three award classes and multiple prizes including a wrist watch for best of show. Every entry receives a can of Ken-Ltation dog food.

Top Realtor Contest Rules Emphasize Leashes and Grooming

Clermont Junior Fair awards total three thousand two hundred twenty five

Premiums and special awards totaling three thousand two hundred twenty five will be given at the Clermont Junior Fair. An agreed allocation by the Junior Fair Board Advisory Committee and Senior Fair Board covers four H clubs and vocational agriculture among others. Ely Seeks New Clermont County Court Seat

Forrest E. Ely of Ely White and DavidsonBatavia announces his candidacy for the newly authorized second Clermont County Common Pleas Court seat in the Republican primary next May. If nominated he will run nonpartisan in November 1964. Ely, a UC graduate and former Clermont County Prosecutor, served in World War II rising to lieutenant colonel. He and his wife have two children Rex and a daughter.

All Pony Show Set For Coney Island Aug 18

The fourth annual pony show at Coney Island Amusement Park opens August 18 at 1 p.m. under the Southern Ohio Pony Club with 18 classes. Earl Lipps of the horse and pony concession gives away a pony harness and cart. Free tickets for children under 12 with a parent. Awards at 3 p.m. on the athletic field.

Building moved from locks to church site in phased erection

A building slated for a new church site will be moved from the Anthony Meldahl Locks and Dam. It will be dismantled in sections and rebuilt on church property by Bethel contractor Millard Poe. Groves Ventures Inc and Frank Simonette, GM, donated the structure.
