Neville site yields Late Archaic finds in Clermont County
University of Cincinnati archaeology team led by Kent Vickery conducted a six week dig at Neville terrace in Clermont County. Carbon tests date habitation at 1310 B C and 2115 B C, revealing an 800 year span and the only excavated Late Archaic site in Ohio. The team mapped the site, lifted topsoil with a back hoe, and will restore the area after completion.
