Sanitary Engineer Watkins resigns from Clermont County district
Donald Watkins, Clermont County sanitary engineer and manager of the Sewer District, resigned effective Sept. 30 and will move out of state. He urged splitting the two roles, with the sanitary engineer handling administration and staff direction while policy stays with the board and the manager need not be a professional engineer. Watkins, who served as county planning director before becoming sanitary engineer in March 1970, hopes a replacement is found to ensure continuity.
