Jobs means brighter future for 2 area men
Two area men, Jack Mancuso and Elwood Nelson Jr., benefited from the JOBS program via American Standard's Elyria plant. Mancuso, after years of long road trucking, now works at home with his family, praising the program for providing a steady job and easing social integration. Nelson, once laid off and on welfare, now works as a brake press operator, attends computer programming via mail, and plans night classes at a local college, expressing renewed hope and support from the program. AVON plans a $4.48 million condo complex for 176 units to be reviewed at tonight's Planning Commission meeting.
