Korean Native Thankful After Narrow Escapes
Seoul based United Press writer George Suh escaped ten weeks of North Korean advances near Taejon and Seoul. He prayed on a mountain and thanked God for safety as he walked toward American lines, then fled north after a reported Inchon landing. He was arrested by communist police, questioned nine hours, and released when front news shifted the pursuit. American troops later entered Pyongtaek, thwarting a planned massacre at his friend's house.
