A late season hurricane struck West Hollywood Florida killing one person and injuring 14 while demolishing 25 homes. Third Attack Made on Voter Aid Ruling in Ohio Court

In Columbus a third legal attack on Secretary of State Charles Sweeney's voter aid ruling was heard. WBO Meddecks, attorney for fal T Melvin, sought a mandamus to compel Sweeney to rescind an order issued July 25, 1950. The order required election board officials to allow aid to voters from a close relative of the elected official, one per party.

Boy Killed By Truck Near Home in CUYAHOGA

A boy named James B Gambheim aged 9 was killed after dashing into the path of a truck near his home in Cuyahoga Falls. Anthony Nieding, 75, an attorney, was reported to have arrived at his office in the Ceasars Building, then taken home by ambulance where he was laid to bed on advice of his physician.

Wellington Phone Supervisor Dies

Henry Mead Chadwick 53 of Taylor Street died at St Josephs hospital Wellington after a heart attack. He served 32 years with Wellington Telephone Co and held roles as supervisor director and former township trustee. Survived by his wife Mildred four children two sisters five brothers and five grandchildren. Funeral Friday at 2 pm from First Congregational church with Masonic rites at Greenwood Cemetery.
