Deputy completes investigation course in London BCII school
Lorain County deputy Martin Mahony finished a criminal investigation course at the BCII school in London placing in the top 20 percent with 91 percent. He was commissioned six months ago after University of Dayton graduation. He also attended narcotics training in Toledo. Instructors included BCNI FBI Hamilton County coroner and National Auto Theft Bureau staff.

Two Lorain men, Robert Kenney and George Markus Jr., were bound to the Lorain County Grand Jury on breaking and entering charges. Kenney, 36, faces Sept. 30 burglary at The Austin Co. in Elyria with paychecks and equipment stolen. he posted $3,000 bond. Markus, 24, waived a preliminary hearing after alleged Bauer Dairy break in Sept. 26 with cash from an office safe. he posted $2,000 bond.
