Nixon to Visit Peking Within Six Weeks Says White House

Canadian boat seized for illegal perch fishing near Avon Lake

The 65 foot Marie Gale with seven aboard was seized two miles inside Ohio waters north of Avon Lake. Captain Terrance Copeland and six crew members face charges for illegal netting and fishing without a license. One thousand seven hundred pounds of perch were confiscated and landbound to Lorain docks. Bond set at 400 dollars each for the crew, who were released pending arraignment.

Court OKs student voting in Hamilton County

Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals ruling allows college students to vote where they attend school in Hamilton County and for this year if registered by the Sept. 22 deadline. The decision, limited to Cincinnati area for now, could reshape Ohio election law statewide.

Pressman strike halts publication of the Plain Dealer

Plain Dealer officials seek a court injunction to end the stoppage. the contract runs to May 31, 1972 with arbitration as the dispute method.
