Construction on the Route 57 bypass from Cleveland Street to Lorain Boulevard has started under an $839,000 Ohio Department of Transportation contract. Val Excavating of Lorain and The Northern Ohio Paving Company of Twinsburg lead daytime and nighttime work with through traffic maintained, limited travel restrictions, and a scheduled completion date of Oct. 15.
