200000 Gallons Of Paint To Mark Ohio Highways
Ohio will apply about 200000 gallons of white and yellow paint to state roads starting in July to mark center lines lane lines and no passing zones. The process uses modern stripers at 10 to 12 miles per hour painting up to 1700 miles daily with total last year cost around 346850 dollars. The 1939 standard requires four inch white center lines and four inch yellow no passing lines with a space between to indicate unsafe overtaking.
