Steel haulers end Youngstown walkout return to work
About 500 Youngstown steel haulers voted Friday to return to work, finalizing the end of a month long strike. Strongsville Man Killed In Head-On Crash Involving Stolen Car
David C. Barkes, 25, of Strongsville, died early today from chest injuries after a head-on collision on North Rocky River Drive with a stolen 1975 Mercury driven by a 17-year-old Berea youth. Barkes died at Southwest General Hospital at 4 18 a.m. The youth, treated for minor injuries, is held in Berea city jail. Charges are expected in juvenile court. The stolen car had been taken from a Lawson's parking lot three blocks away at 7 W. Grand St.
