Teen Killed as Truck Hit by Train at Pitts Road Crossing

A 16 year old Wellington youth, Roger Goss of Rt 511, died after his northbound pickup was struck by a Conrail freight train on Pitts Road in Wellington Township. The wreck sent the truck about 150 feet along the tracks before the southbound train could stop. Goss died on arrival at Allen Memorial Hospital in Oberlin.
