Lowe’s Food Stores marks 16th anniversary with week long sale

Lowe’s Food Stores in North Wilkesboro celebrated 16th anniversary with a week long promotion. A 400 pound centerpiece cake debuted at the largest store as Mayor cut the cake while local media covered the event. Free cake and coffee were offered, 8 000 hand bills were delivered to area homes, and helicopters dropped numbered plates for crowd gifts. Some 660 free gifts included clock radios and mixers, boosting weekly sales by 20 percent and building goodwill for the chain.
