Powering the Farm Through Machinery and Innovation

The article argues farming evolved from hand methods to mechanization starting with 1848 horse drawn equipment, McCormick reaper, John Deere plow, and later gas engines and electricity. It claims electricity will mainly ease farm chores, liberating labor, while farmers become industrialists producing raw materials for the nation. It cites WWI era efficiency, horse power decline, and rising mechanization through 1920s, urging informed, intelligent leadership for the American farm system.
