Case of the Missing Rock Solved at Elyria High School Site
The 1902 Elyria High School Class rock once placed on the Middle Avenue Sixth Street grounds is now in the front yard at 4637 Lucas Court. Crozier family kept the stone with the 02 inscription after rocks around town were removed in 1960 61, preserving a local memory along with a later time capsule discovery at St Andrews Episcopal Church and safety notes from bicycle studies.

Dear Abby letter on disability and social attitudes
A column responds to a reader who called a paraplegic daughter-in-law an invalid, urging understanding of abilities beyond impairment. The writer lists tasks paraplegics can do with support, notes individual variation, and argues against letting prejudice bar full lives. The page also includes letters about rumors of pregnancy, wedding etiquette, and a son who restricts his mother’s visits, with Abigail Van Buren advising counseling and caution.
