North Ridgeville officials issued three citations as part of a drive to clear trash from yards and buildings. Unemployment in Lorain County 11.2 percent in April

OBES estimated Lorain County jobless rate at 11.2 percent in April from a labor force of 124 023 with 13 925 unemployed. Nearby counties showed Cuyahoga 6.2 percent Medina 6.5 percent Ashland 7.0 percent Huron 11.2 percent Erie 10.4 percent. Delays in unemployment benefit payments may occur due to pending federal funds.
