Flimflamman bilks Ohio auto dealers
An Ohio auto dealers group says a Cleveland wholesaler cheats buyers across states by taking down payments for used cars and failing to deliver. Richard A Granger Jr, 41, is jailed in Pennsylvania on theft by deception charges after a Medina County detective traced payments and a failed delivery to the suspect. He has prior theft convictions and is wanted on parole violation. Victims report losses estimated at 10,000 to 15,000 dollars in a year. A Buffalo dealer said he paid 700 dollars as a down payment on seven cars and received nothing.
