Vermilion motorcyclist in serious condition after crash
An 18 year old motorcyclist, David Fandrich, was seriously injured on Route 60 near Kneisel Road in Vermilion when a car tried to pass on the right and struck him. The northbound vehicle fled the scene. pieces recovered are sent to BCI labs. He suffers two broken legs and severe cuts.

Moelk Cited After Elyria Two Car Crash
Three people were treated for minor injuries at Elyria Memorial Hospital and released after a two car collision on East Avenue. Arthur E. Moelk 63 of Lakeview Drive Grafton and John E Moss 21 and Helen 20 of Elyria were involved. Moss stopped for a car turning into a private drive. Moelk rear ended Moss. Both cars sustained moderate damage. Moelk cited for failure to stop within an assured clear distance.

Lorain police seek girl believed in danger after disappearance
A nine year old Lorain girl Michelle Caldwell and her stepfather Charles Bolger have been missing since early July 14. Police fear for the girl's safety as Bolger remains at large. Bolger is described as five foot five, about 170 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes. Authorities filed a warrant for Bolger's arrest on child stealing. The couple's three year old daughter was ill when Bolger allegedly left with Michelle. The report also details a separate highway accident near Wellington involving Edna Gerhart and Merle Gerhart and others hospitalized.
