Superdelegate rules may shrink under unity commission plan
At the Democratic National Convention rules committee in Philadelphia a unity commission was agreed to study changes to the nominating process including binding most delegates to primary results while leaving elected officials unpledged. The plan aims to cut superdelegates by about two thirds though final changes require DNC approval with a report due by January 1, 2018.
