County oks vacant lot purchase on Steelton Street
Two county commissioners approved buying a 120 by 20 foot vacant lot on Steelton Street for 7500 dollars from Gregory Trucking Inc. The decision followed an emergency meeting after motions to adjourn blocked. The land might support future expansion of the engineer’s office or dog pound nearby.

Airport Authority takes control of assets and funds
Lorain County Airport Authority will assume control of the airport hangars and buildings after approval by the county. A $2.01 million FAA grant with a $223,333 local match funds upgrades including navigational aids and taxiway rehabilitation, with Kokosing Construction handling the project valued at about $1.21 million.
