Woman Struck and Killed by CSX Train Near Eaton Township
A woman walking westbound on or near the tracks behind 84 Lumber was struck and killed by a CSX train between state Route 82 and South Reed Road in Eaton Township. She had no identification. coroner Paul Matus said the body was severely injured, delaying identity. A bystander heard the train horn for 30 to 45 seconds before brakes locked. Officials found no witnesses aside from train crew. The woman’s age is estimated around 25 to 30.
