Underworld kingpin Tommy Eboli slain in Brooklyn

Thomas Eboli, reputed underworld boss and heir to Vito Genovese’s empire, was found shot dead in Crown Heights Brooklyn. Police noted a late model Cadillac with New Jersey plates may have been used as a getaway car, with two other suspicious vehicles nearby. Detectives planned further questioning of key underworld figures as probes into a power struggle continue.

Shapiro seeks visa to Russia for trial attendance
