Dwindling funds threaten Lorain street lighting
Lorain might halt the street lighting program due to dwindling funds. Mayor Woodrow Mathna told council only $109,218 remains of a $240,000 appropriation, enough to cover the power bill and past installs but not new lights. Councilman Koscho urged finishing the lights requested by councilmen. Councilman Kokinda argued placing lights is a political issue for the street lights committee director to handle.
