Police Radio Hookup Considered by Lorain County Council
Police Chief E. J Stankard and Leonard of the Lorain County Radio Corporation proposed a county wide radio hookup last night. They said existing ship to ship and ship to shore service could be adapted to connect the sheriff s department with Elyria and Lorain police. Costs would be divided three ways, with the city paying about 215 monthly. Initial installation would cost 1476 shared by the three departments. The matter was referred to the safety committee, police chief, and service director for a report.
