Lorain Council backs meetings officer despite mayor stance
Lorain officials report that the City Council holds final authority to hire an auxiliary police officer to attend meetings. Law Director George Koury notes funding would come from a budget line item and that Council can choose to hire. Mayor Craig Foltin criticized universal attendance, preferring presence only at meetings with controversial agendas.
