Ohio Assembly Pay Raise Plan Advances in Columbus
Senator William Taft proposes an across the board pay rise of at least 10 percent for state workers as the Ohio Legislature returns. The plan would accelerate immediate increases for many employees, with some over 15 to 20 percent for those earning under $5,000 a year, and possible extra gains through job reclassification. The package uses $50 million approved in December and aims to exceed the federal Pay Board guideline, with exemptions for wages lagging private or federal levels.
