Survivors group and Red Cross offer community services

Local groups announce a survivors of death by own action support meeting at Elyria Memorial Hospital Conference Room A. The Lorain County Red Cross will train new volunteers in January to assist after hours, disasters, and with families of service members.

Columbia trustees set year end meeting December 29

The Columbia Township Trustees will hold a year end meeting December 29 at 7 30 p m in the town hall to authorize payment of final 1986 bills. The January 5 organizational meeting at 7 30 p m will elect officers and set meeting dates. In Monday night’s business session resignation of Robert White from the fire department was accepted after 11 years of service. Richard Coffee resigned from maintenance duties on leave, and Robert Shreider was added to the fire department and EMT squad.
