Eugene Hasenfus 45 pardoned by Nicaragua after two months’ jail for smuggling weapons to Contra rebels spent his first night in Guatemala at the U.S. ambassador’s residence. He planned to fly to Miami then Marinette Wisconsin with wife Sally. He thanked Ortega and Nicaraguan people as Sen. Christopher Dodd arranged the transfer and aid discussions continued.
