Avon man seriously hurt in single car crash
Frank Zimmerman, 29, of 4260 East Lake Road, was found in an upside down car in a Lear-Nagle Road ditch by a passing motorist at 4 15 a.m. He was admitted to St Joseph Hospital in Lorain with possible chest and abdominal injuries and exposure to the cold. Police said he appeared to be alone and the car had crossed a culvert at high speed, flipped several times, and hit a utility pole before ending in the ditch. The wreck remains under investigation.
