Crab Farm In Jersey Delivers Unique Ocean City Industry
In Ocean City, Jersey, the Crab Kraal of Ralph and Harver Adams houses thousands of blue crabs in long wooden runways with sea water flowing through. Crabs are kept on ice to delay hardening in a local facility, while others shed in different stages. The Adams gather crabs from the Tuckahoe River, feed them with minnows, and sort by shell state to estimate a kraal value around 6904 dollars, though a recent storm swept many away.
