Washington August 31 The National Recovery Administration aims to codify all American industry within 60 days as part of the Blue Eagle drive. Hearings will target lagging sectors to finish all codes by November 1, with 2,000,000 businesses moving under NRA codes. Master Codes will cover about 300 classifications, with local variations possible.

Lorain County Fair Announces Horse Features and Exhibits
The Lorain County Fair adds horse pulling contests with multiple county teams on Monday at 11:00 p m along with pony and mule races in the afternoon. Exhibits include a new sheep breed from Westerville and a large goat show by the Lorain County Beep Herders Association. Elyria made products will be featured with many local manufacturers entering. New Taxes In Effect Monday
Columbus report notes new taxes approved by the Legislature to fund relief efforts take effect Sept. 1 after Governor White signed the measures. Key changes include a one cent cap tax on bottled beer and other bottled beverages over five cents, a $1.50 per barrel tax on draft beer, a ten percent amusement tax on admissions over ten cents, and ten cent per pound malt and ten cent per gallon brewers wort taxes. Bottled beer is exempt from the barrel tax.

Riots at Cambria Hosiery Mills Injure Dozen in Philadelphia

Workman Scalded At Local Factory Incident
