The danger is North may hold five hearts or two of them to defeat the contract. Keep South from gaining the lead. Play a spade to the queen, then a low diamond toward dummy. If North shows the queen, let him win. If he follows low, play the king from dummy, return to your hand with a spade, and lead jack of diamonds. If North wins the second diamond, ace and another diamond may establish, but the plan holds if North has singleton or doubleton queen or three diamonds.
The analysis argues North is unlikely to hold six hearts and outlines a line to secure the contract. If North had six hearts South would likely unblock early by playing the king. By winning the eight of clubs with the queen and discarding the six of clubs, clubs open, yielding five club tricks and a safe contract despite potential six heart holdings. The 15 line outshines shifting to diamonds and aims to guarantee the contract barring a six card heart.
