Columbia Board backs Battelle study program for district
The Columbia Board of Education approved a three year Battelle Memorial Institute research program costing 1500 dollars per year based on enrollment to tackle common district issues. The board also joins Lorain County supplemental education center and funds Bronson School improvements to fix muddy walkway areas. Upcoming high school events include May 14 open house and May 8 kindergarten roundup at Copopa School. A Chicago note cites 1966 infant mortality at 23.4 per 1000 live births, a low for the country but high by international standards.
