Athletic fund backs Wellington sports program gains
Wellington High School athletic fund remains in the black as football basketball and wrestling support the whole program. Athletic director Gilbert Shellhouse reported football receipts 4857 dollars basketball 3469 and wrestling 105 with wrestling showing a 420 dollar expense deficit but expected improvement next year. Expenditures totaled 2313 for football and 1661 for basketball with tennis baseball golf and track also funded. Present fund balance stands at 4061 dollars and final accounting is due to the board of education in June.
