From Dagestan to Moscow A Teenage Bomber’s Family Shunned
In Kostek Dagestan relatives disown a 16 year old girl Dzhanet Abdurakhmanova who married a militant and was later sent to Moscow to blow herself up on a subway. The attack killed 40 and injured 90 marking the first death by own action in Moscow since 2004. Her husband Amalat Magomedov and another widow are named as attackers. Chechen rebel Umarov claimed responsibility saying it was revenge for four garlic pickers killed on Feb 11. Authorities promise harsher anti terrorism steps while rights groups report abuses against suspected militants and their families.
