A Lorain County woman identifies a video head cleaner as the drug used to incapacitate her during an attack by former congressional candidate Nell Yingling in 1995. The court plans to use a March videotaped test in Yingling’s July 15 trial for gross sexual imposition.
An Elyria woman sues Rent-A-Center in Common Pleas Court claiming unfair and deceptive sales practices with contracts not meeting Ohio law. The suit seeks a declaratory judgment, an injunction, and more than $50,000 in damages and could become a class action.
Common Pleas Judge Edward Zaleski scheduled a May 4 hearing on whether Christopher Nobie, 36, of Lorain, should be retried after his 8 year prison sentence for rape and gross sexual imposition. Nobie was declared a sexual predator required to register his address for life.
WELLINGTON The second annual Northcoast Cattle Classic is May 23 at the Lorain County Fairgrounds with judging at noon. Lorain County 4 H and FFA members will be judged by Mike Thiel of Upper Sandusky, a member of the Ohio Cattleman's Association. Classes include steer born on or after Jan 1 1997 and heifers born on or after Sept 1 1996. Cattle drop off between 8 and 10:30 am May 22 23.
