Congressional hopeful loses candidacy appeal
A federal appeals court in Cincinnati upheld Lorain County election officials’ denial of independent candidate Mark Miller’s bid for the 18th Congressional District ballot in 1994. The 6th U.S. Circuit ruled Ohio’s ballot access rules fair, rejecting Miller’s claim that the process violated voters’ rights. Miller may seek Supreme Court review.
