A 57 acre Girl Scout camp near Minerva will feature what is believed to be the first all steel swimming pool in the area. The 35 by 75 foot pool, with depths from 3 to 9 feet, was built by Gravel Tank Co. of Chicago for about $13,000 and includes filtration recirculation and chlorination. Nearby progress includes the lodge basement and parking area. The camp land was donated by Metropolitan Brick Co., about three miles from the old camp near Malvern and off Route 80. A well with 6 inch pipe was drilled this summer, with pump installation pushing costs toward $5,000.
