Roy Bortles was sick Monday while Ward Hodge missed Wednesday with a cold. Thelma Lindsey, formerly Alma student now at Cadillar, visited Friday. Earle Holmes entered the junior class taking college prep work. Capt. Hughes sprained an ankle in Friday scrimmage and hopes to play in next Friday’s St Louis game. Lambda Sigma girls' literary society held its first meeting. Prospects look bright with new material as cooking classes begin. Robert Nutestine elected fire chief. a fire drill cleared the building in about forty five seconds. Over 150 students joined the Athletic Association. 50 more expected. Board of Education settled the high school contract with builders last Monday. Football schedule under way, with organizers planning a print next week. Grade boys in manual training also take physical training under Mr Maxwell. Lambda Sigma met again Tuesday. officers named. A possible Newspaper club and a first High School mass meeting were noted. Miss Smith’s Camp Fire group met Friday and plans a trip to the St Louis game. Basketball interest rising. schedule calls for one game before Christmas and about eight after January. Chorus now has 170 voices. high expectations for the year. Girls’ physical training classes organized weekly. A mass meeting in the high school room Friday afternoon with Eddie Mahr as cheerleader. The senior class roster: President Lawrence Hughes, and others. A junior class meeting decided to buy class pins, reporting in about thirty days. Football practice at the old school field enters its third week with college scrubs and St Louis as opponents. alumni game canceled due to mud.
