Very few lodges in this state section rival the Loyal Order of Moose in furnishing. The local chapter, formed recently, has quickly grown with capable men. Rooms in Vermeulen Block feature maroon and cream decor, a polished hardwood floor, leather furniture, and a large archway between reception hall and dining area for banquets. The lodge room will host dances, electric lighting, and an ordered electric piano for ritual use.

Alma i8 Defeated by St Louis in Gridiron Debut

Alma high school suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of St Louis high school last Friday at Davis Meld. St Louis rolled up 33 points in four quarters with a seasoned display of tackles and successful forward passes. Alma, fielding a green lineup with only three players having prior game experience, fought hard and prevented a goal, while Miner, Handley and McClinton stood out for Alma. The match tested the new rules, showing little difference in the ten yards for four downs versus three.
