United States Express Starts Alma Ithaca Route
The United States Express company begins an overland route between Alma and Ithaca with a noon arrival in Ithaca and return later in the afternoon. The Ithaca office will be at Crawford's drug store and service starts next Monday, offering faster shipping without double rates along Pere Marquette railroad lines. The move is aided by J. Crawford of Havana Cigar Factory fame and aims to benefit local residents by expanding express access across the region.
