Fire destroys Breckenridge home near Main Street
Breckenridge residents woke to a fast spreading blaze around 2 00 am Wednesday as fire bell failed to carry through the cold air. Frank Sanderson and family woke to the smoke and saved part of their furniture before firemen using cistern water and ice fought the flames for about an hour. Only the house framework survived and the insured property was valued at 800 with J P Wineman. The cause was believed to be an overheated stove.
