VESTABURG residents and relatives visited family homes across area towns. Numerous individuals from Alma Riverdale Van Wert Centerville Lansing and Gaylord traveled to see relatives including the Mallory Caris Manley and Briggs families over the weekend and midweek.

Mrs Arthur Aiken was badly burned Tuesday morning while operating a gasoline flat iron. Verne Gardner attended a birthday party for Aga Biglow at the Holland St Louis Sugar Co farm in Merrill. Julien Van Hick visiting friends in Ionia for a few days. Diphtheria quarantine was raised at the D E Chambers home for the rest of the week. Glen Wilcox and family were Sunday visitors at Lyons. A wind storm Friday caused damage at the John Jackson farm with the woodshed blown down and part of the orchard uprooted.
