Ithaca lodge No. 55 I.O.O.F installed officers including V G Frank Kushneider and secretary Archie R. Hittner, with Encampment officers and a long list of Crescent Rebekah lodge titles. Also Philathea class enjoyed a pot luck. several local residents hosted gatherings and noted health and Red Cross wartime quotas. The body of Paul Snodes arrived for military funeral, with local officials attending the 25th annual sheriffs convention in Traverse City.
