A committee selected and purchased a fire team for Alma fire department to haul fighting apparatus. The ram they bought costs 8, weighs about 2600 pounds, sorrel, aged four and five, sired by Badger J, raised in the southern county. The team was bought from Wm. Van Buskirk of Ithaca and shipped last Friday, expected to arrive this week.

A new grocery firm Palfrey & Co has sold their post office stock to W L Scranton & Co formerly of Corunna. They will take possession on Monday next and aim to provide Alma residents a first class grocery. The Palfreys have not decided their future business. The Alma Record for 02 is a Winner.
