Beets Price Scale Talks At Michigan Factory Meet
Michigan Beet Sugar Manufacturers Association met at the Wright House to fix a uniform price scale for beets. Representatives from Bay City Saginaw Alma and Owosso discussed Cuban treaty impacts and the need to stay with current home sliding scale, while adding 25 cents per ton for beets delivered after December 1. Territory allocation was not settled as farmers may contract with any factory. The next meeting is set for Saginaw.
