Pig Survey To Be Made By U S Department Of Agriculture
A joint effort by the United States Department of Agriculture and the Post Office Department will conduct a spring and fall survey to estimate hog populations in leading pig states. Rural mail carriers from 9,500 post offices in 14 states will collect data via simple farm questionnaires, with results used to project state totals and national estimates while keeping farmer confidentiality.
